Mike came out to the house to go over all the details of the job prior to starting and stopped back again after it was completed to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. We used Krech for our new roof that was damaged from hail. They worked with USAA with no issues. We had some water issues beforehand so its nice to deal with a company that does siding, gutters, and windows as our issue could be coming from any of those places. I have been working with Krech Exteriors for years. With every job we start out working with Ryan Everson. He does the scheduling and does it flawlessly. From the start they hit all the marks. The job we just finished was a large steel siding job. When Ryan told me Eric Kemp would be on the job I was very happy. Eric is the absolute best. He cares about the entire project. On every project you come across items you are not expecting and Eric always figures out a solution to everything. This steel siding project was no different. We couldn’t have been happier with the work Krech Exteriors did for us. We had basically an exterior home makeover completed. From Ryan’s communication to our awesome onsite guy, Jon, who always was there to answer questions and give suggestions, the process couldn’t have been better. kudos to Bill Krech as he always made sure we were happy and always available when we needed him. From beginning to end Krech Exteriors showed why they are the gold stamp in the metro area.
Redid the front of our house with vinyl siding. Overall happy but communication wasn't the best. After confirming everything we wanted we were told we would get contacted in about 2 to 3 weeks and we're not contacted for about 6 weeks. The actual work that was done was fantastic. They replaced rotting wood. Only downside was they didn't have enough of the final siding so had to reorder it. On the day when they were supposed to come and finish the work they didn't show up for a couple of days until I called. I've had my gutters replaced previously by them and now my siding. The work that they do is great, communication could be better.

On this last job, the crew started putting Tyvek over the old rotting T-111 siding, which was contractually specified to be removed. The use of 2-1/4" nails was specified in the contract and I didn't think about it until later, because I didn't think I should have to think about it, but that's too long. Those nails went through 1/2" OSB into 2x4" studs which are real size 3-1/2" wide. Half of a stud is 1-3/4", plus 1/2" for the OSB is 2-1/4", the length of the nails and right in the stud center which is where the wiring is run. One of the nails went through the back of a switch box and into the wiring within, causing a short every time a switch was turned on. Thankfully nothing else was hit, but in reality I'll never know that for sure. It does cause me to wonder what was used on my house now and what unseen issues there may be.

Eric and others involved from Krech did a great job for us. Workmanship, professionalism, and attention to the details was great. So was keeping things picked up and organized during construction and the final clean up was perfect too! They have also followed up at the end to button up any loose ends. We are very happy with the final product. Would use/recommend them again in the future.

Krech Exteriors is a local organization, but not so small it does t have significant capacity. They met me on short notice to discuss a job and followed through promptly. They came back a couple times to ensure my flat rubber roof was draining effectively. A whole team was engaged and communication was strong a tithe team.

We had a great experience with Krech. They were helpful and friendly during the initial meetings and did not pressure us at all. They helped guide us through the insurance claim (this was a hail damage roof replacement) told us exactly how things would work. The roofers did the job in one day ( two story house and garage) and did a great job cleaning up. We found a minor leak around the chimney that they came and fixed right away. I had a problem with our chimney on a house that has wooden (cedar) siding, it was getting hammered by woodpeckers with lots of holes and was in need of repair. I contacted Krech Exteriors to have a look and they offered up advice and a competitive quote to do the work (based on a pretty close inspection.) After the demolition began, Eric the craftsman performing the work discovered there was extensive rot to the framing and other water damage and began the process of cheerfully (yes, I said cheerfully) rebuilding the entire chase. After the framing was rebuilt properly (as there were mistakes made with the original construction) Eric finished the siding with beautiful and durable HardiePlank. The finished work is wonderful! Eric is a talented craftsman and an incredibly pleasant person who clearly loves his work. I can't recommend Krech and Eric enough!

We had a new roof put on our home last Fall 2023 and this Spring 2024 we upgraded our 30 year old steel siding with new Hardie Board and beautiful stone - we love it. The team did a excellent job with good results. They started at 7:30 Friday morning and had area around the house all cleaned and gone by 3:00 in the afternoon. The crew worked so face that I saw one of the workers running to car park on street and running back to get working on roof again. Had rain almost a 1 1/2 Saturday night that I remember and didn’t even hear it on roof. Wow!!
I had Bill out for an inspection of my roof. My neighbors had some hail damage, so I wanted mine checked. He responded very quickly and came out immediately, arriving exactly when he said he would. He was very honest and provided photo documentation for me. I will definitely use Krech in the future.

We had some cedar siding issues that needed attention. Krech came out and expertly replaced and painted the pieces that needed to be fixed and made it look fantastic. Mark, the technician, was cordial and worked quickly in oppressive heat. He then cleaned up after himself and made sure we were happy. We are! We highly recommend Krech Exteriors!

I requested an estimate for siding repair. Initial salesperson cancelled on the day of my appointment. He reported needing to "help out" in St. Cloud, which I think means pursue larger insurance claims in an area with recent storm damage.
I called to reschedule my estimate. Second salesperson, Brendan, arrived 3 hours late. His excuse was that he was in Monticello the day prior. He then told me that my roof has no attic vents. Krech Exteriors has done an outstanding roof replacement on our home. The roof in our home got hail damage back in 2023 Minneapolis, MN, hail storm. Since the beginning, Krech Exteriors’ sales representative (Austin) went through every step they do on the roof replacement. And, that was exactly what they did:
1. They analyzed what work needed to be done on our roof and based on that, they provided multiple options for shingles, date on which the work will be done, information on what is best to comply with MN regulations, and total costs.
2. The job was completed in the time lapse and on the date they specified in the contract. In addition, they added a new roof deck to comply with MN regulations as they found out the old roof deck was not compliant with MN regulations.
3. Cost/Payment - as described in the contract, we only paid for the deductible and insurance covered the rest. One of the best things was that Krech Exterior made sure the insurance cover all the charges for final roof replacement costs. So, NO additional charges to us and It was a peace of mind not to deal with insurance.
4. And lastly, Krech Exteriors provided information about the warranty, City final inspection, and closing contract details.
Based on the experience we had, we totally recommend Krech Exterior for roof replacement needs, you will not regret it at all!

Professional and polite. Austin contacted my insurance company when they shorted my reimbursement. I would definitely use them in the future (but I hope I don't have to).
I had Krech exteriors replace my roofing soffits fascia and siding on my home in west St Paul they did a great job and the job foreman worked extremely hard to get the most of everything I could get from the insurance company.
