At Krech Exteriors, we are extremely proud to call ourselves Better Business Bureau (BBB) A+ Rated roofing contractors. But what does this rating mean exactly?
The Better Business Bureau
Founded in 1912, the BBB is a private, nonprofit organization whose sole mission is to advance marketplace trust. It consists of over 100 independently incorporated local BBB organizations in both the United States and Canada, and is coordinated under the International Association of Better Business Bureaus (IABB).
The BBB Rating System
The BBB relies on a rating system on an A+ through F scale with A+ being the highest. These ratings represent the degree of confidence that the BBB has in a company based on its business practices and its ability to resolve any customer complaints in a satisfactory manner.
If you check out the BBB’s website, you will see that only a handful of roofing companies have earned the highly coveted A+ rating. The BBB determines its ratings on a scoring scale based on 13 factors including, but not limited to, the volume of complaints a company receives, how well these complaints are handled and the number of years a company has been in business.
To be able to earn an A+ rating, a contractor will need a score of at least 97 out of a possible 100 points, which is no mean feat because the BBB also utilizes negative scores in their system. In the construction and home improvement industry, many things can go wrong, which is why sometimes customer complaints can be inevitable. This is why you should always work with companies that are very highly rated by the BBB so you can be sure that, if any problems should arise, they will be resolved quickly and fairly.
